Dr. Cooper is the first therapist who actually got me. At nearly 60 years old I had attempted therapy several times, but the other therapist's approach simply did not work with my personality and lifestyle. Without being condescending, Dr. Cooper pulled out of me the things that I didn't even know I needed to address. Once we began to get to know each other's sense of humor and energy she was able to call me out on some of my issues in a way that did not put me on the defensive...a common issue for me in and of itself. She also did something I did not expect...Dr. Cooper recognized in me my positive attributes and talents and celebrated them. That recognition worked on improving my feeling of confidence and self worth. It's not always about picking apart the negative...sometimes pointing out the positive is just as crucially important and Dr. Cooper really understands that. I was coming out of a particularly awful period of my life when I met Dr. Cooper and I credit her with helping me build back my life. I can not recommend Dr. Cooper more highly.
