Best treatment received! Whilst visiting New York for Easter in March 2002, I took ill shortly after landing and landed up being admitted into this hospital. After an initial breakdown in communications (the triage nurse failed to escalate me and the on duty Doctor took a trip off her when he saw my condition), the duty team quickly administered drugs and made every effort to make me comfortable as possible. It was clear I was going to be admitted and I was found a room quite quickly where I very well treated by all the staff. The most outstanding member of staff was the young Syrian Doctor who carried out my assessment in the emergency room. He was so down to earth, explained everything to me and reassured me that I was going to be fine. Although a frightening experience because of the nature of my illness, all turned out well. I stayed in hospital for two nights, discharged on Good Friday so I went straight to church to thank God for my recovery. I have never forgotten to kindness of the staff at this hospital.
