I have struggled with periodontal disease since my 20th, I’m 45 now. After losing 4 teeth, paying a lot of money for antibiotics to be applied to my gum( which was like using a bandage on a wound that needs stitches) my old dentist didn’t care since he was getting a lot of money from me at every visit. One day I decided to say good bye to my dentist and to my gum problem. That’s when I came across the You tube page for doctor Malakov. From my first visit I felt that I finally found the right person to put an end to my standing gum disease. Yesterday 2/24/26 I had the LANAP gum surgery and I can assure you that it was a painless procedure. All my life I had so much fear of the regular surgery where my gums had to be cut and then stitched back. Today is day two and I am free of pain or discomfort, my mouth is just a bit sore which is normal. Dr Malakov is very skilled and gentle, he is truly concerned about your mouth health and not just the money. He is very transparent and explains everything so clearly. Thank you so much to the doctor and the staff, you are all incredible. I used to be terrified, but you made me feel so comfortable.

Could not be happier with Dr. Malakov and his team. I had been stressed out for nearly a year with gum issues around my front crowns and during that period I saw two other periodontists who both recommended crown lengthening, but I kept waiting to see if the gum would improve on its own. Crown lengthening surgery is a big deal and I wasn't convinced I truly needed it. Plus my insurance wouldn't cover it. I found Dr. Malakov (who is not in-network for me) through his google reviews and I'm SO glad I did. He recommended LANAP instead of crown lengthening and it was absolutely the right call. The other periodontists and my own dentist never mentioned laser as an option. I didn't even know it existed as an option. Immediately after the surgery my gum already looked better and now, 1.5 month later, it is back to normal. Can't thank Dr. Malakov enough. His rates are very reasonable. I felt I was looked after by someone observant, intelligent, capable, thorough and caring. Also shoutout to his amazing receptionist who is the most friendly and professional medical receptionist I've ever come across. The office is organized, efficient and transparent. I am writing this review on my own, no incentives were offered. Highly recommend Dr. Malakov's office!
