We had a very disappointing experience at this dental office. My parents visited last week, and unfortunately, they were not treated with kindness or patience. The dentist was unwelcoming and made them feel uncomfortable and excluded throughout the visit. Since my parents do not speak English, they tried to communicate using a translation app and eventually called me for help. When I attempted to assist over the phone, the dentist refused, saying they do not allow translation over the phone and insisted that someone who speaks English should accompany them next time. What is especially concerning is that we later learned from the insurance company that there is a professional interpreter service available specifically for patients who do not speak English. The dental office could have easily contacted the insurance and arranged for a translator over the phone, but they never informed us about this option. Even when I offered to help, they dismissed it instead of providing a solution. Additionally, my mother needed treatment for her denture, which was originally made in Turkey and is currently broken. The office incorrectly treated the case as if the denture had been made under this insurance plan, stating that it was less than five years old and therefore not eligible for replacement. However, this information is inaccurate—this denture was never made in the U.S. and was never processed through this insurance. Despite this, they proceeded in a way that led to the treatment being denied. Because of this negligence—or possibly intentional mishandling—we are now forced to go through the appeal process ourselves, which has been both stressful and time-consuming. We have filed a formal complaint. I am also leaving this review to encourage the office to treat future patients with more respect, empathy, and professionalism—especially those who may face language barriers.
