Planned Parenthood Of Nyc

This Bronx location was great. From the front desk staff, to the medical assistant, doctor (Frieda), and ultrasound tech, everyone was so kind and professional. There was a wait from my actual appointment time, but it wasn’t horrible and I didn’t wait long for the doctor after I was called in. I got my IUD, which is usually pretty uncomfortable, painful process. Dr. Frieda was so wonderful and supportive and as gentle as possible, talking me through every step to make sure there were no surprises for me. Stayed calm even when we had minor issues (because of my anatomy, not her expertise.) Then helped me get in same day with an ultrasound to make sure everything was placed correctly because I’m leaving the country and can’t come back if anything was weird. Very pleasant experience despite a known unpleasant process. I only wish the bathroom was cleaner, but that was my only complaint. Super grateful!

They're very slow but that's expected at this kind of facility. The security, front desk staff and techs are great. But the NP Sarah E Warshaw was very rude and dismissive. Why work in an area like the Bronx if this is the way you choose to be with the demographic that resides here? She laughed at my concerns, wrongly tried to educate me on something, not knowing that this is the field I've worked in for years along side MDs, PAs, and NPs and am very educated on the subject. If I wasn't already late to pick up my child I would have let her know exactly how wrong she was but I think for my sake and hers it was best to just leave it to my formal complaint and this review. All in all, if you have time to wait all day. Come here, the staff is great, just see a different provider :)
