This hospital is terrible I was left for 24 hours before even seen or cared having to look for a nurse or doctor. My bed was disgusting and smelled like pure urine and I was told I just have to wait until someone comes to change it until I got frustrated they didn’t change it for they didn’t offer me food until I said something nothing. Then we take test after test and no one brings me any update of what’s going on until I got up and made them check on the status of things I’m severely sick and should have not had to get up numerous times because I’m being neglected they seen me in pain gave me meds once and never again it got to a point I just started enduring the pain because there’s nothing else I could do. It’s day 3 and I finally get told something still no update just that I’m admitted they put me in this room that was filthy disgusting and hazardous I have pictures of blood on the floor bathroom filthy and leave me there again neglecting me no food not asked if I need water nothing for the pain just sitting there waiting hoping to hear back soon this is the worst THE WORST HOSPITAL AND SHOULD BE CLOSED FOR INVESTIGATION. Some staff are very helpful and understanding but majority are here like they don’t want to do their job they have nasty attitudes when you mention their flaws and it’s no way a human should be treated god forbid this was you or your family member is this how you would want them treated. I’m beyond angry plus I’m back after only 1 day of being discharged because I got worse I was told that I was looking great etc etc when I was first admitted n good to be let go now that I’m back they’re going over test from last week stating that they saw XY and Z so why was I released to go through everything over again they’ve been prolonging my medicine taking test test test that I still haven’t received answers for taking blood I don’t know where it’s going because not one word on what the result say

I have had four ER visits this year at Coney Island Hospital, and every single time I have been genuinely impressed by the care and professionalism here. From the moment you walk in — starting with security, the front desk/intake team, the staff taking information, the vitals team, nurses, and then the doctors — there is a level of dedication, patience, and positive attitude that really stands out. ER visits are never easy, and nobody wants to be in the hospital, but the way this team handles patients makes a difficult situation feel calmer and more organized. Everyone I interacted with treated me with respect and urgency, and I could tell they genuinely care. What stood out to me most is that it does not feel like just one good doctor or one good nurse — the entire flow, from the door to the medical team, feels strong. Something special is clearly happening at this hospital, and the people working here deserve recognition. Thank you to the whole Coney Island Hospital ER team for your dedication, professionalism, and kindness.
