I spent seven weeks undergoing the treatment that my previous doctor recommended and did not make any progress. I hope that Dr Rapaport sees this and changes the way he interacts with patients. I trusted him with my aunt’s care back in late 2020. She was significantly different cognitively. He did an EEG and some lab work and determined that her symptoms were age related. I begged him to listen to various anecdotes about her behavior that suggested that something bigger was going on. He let me relay two or three and then abruptly interrupted me with: “What do you want me to say?” I had him on speakerphone, and my husband was even taken aback. Thankfully, I found another neurologist Dr. Michael Lin who thoroughly assessed her and, based on the anecdotes, was able to diagnose her with Lewy body dementia. Had she not been diagnosed in early 2021, I wouldn’t have had the time to hold her hand through the process of giving up her independence little by little. We got papers in order and she declined very quickly. I don’t know why Dr. Rapaport is in this business
