I had a very negative experience with Dr. Abayev and would strongly advise not to go here. I went to him with significant dental issues/skeletal issue, including a very narrow palate causing severe overcrowded teeth, extremely recessed maxilla, cross-bite, and an overbite due to years of mouth breathing. I paid around $5,000 for the treatment in 2021, expecting professional treatment. Unfortunately things took a troubling turn. After braces were used instead of using a palate expander to expand the narrow palate fixing the root problem, the orthodontist started claiming that my teeth had white spots on them claiming that the white spots were permanent stains and not simply glue for the braces, which turned out to be false. The situation worsened when he began telling me that I would need to wear elastics in a way that was completely opposite to how I should have been wearing them (made me wear class 3 which is meant for underbite). This made my condition worse, and my treatment was delayed. He also used minimal glue on the brackets, causing them to break quickly, which meant I had to pay extra to replace them. When I confronted him politely about these issues, he insisted that everything was being done correctly. Eventually, I got a second opinion from another orthodontist, who quickly identified the issues, including the glue on my teeth and the broken brackets. My new orthodontist fixed my teeth in around a year and a half, aligned them properly, fixed most of the complications Dr. Abayev was trying to take advantage of financially. Highly recommend avoiding this place, extremely unprofessional, and beware of getting scammed. Lots of fake reviews.
