Montefiore Medical Center

The reviews had me worried, but I followed my amazing doctor from brooklyn (Crystal Marquez) to this location in the bronx. I was seen within 5 minutes of my appointment. It was really fast that I didn't get a chance to finish filling out the paperwork given to me. Vitals were taken, and shortly afterward, my doctor came in. My visit was not rushed with my doctor, and my time was fair. The front desk staff was friendly and attentive. I was able to make appointments for my children before leaving. Received a doctors note for work promtly. There is parking for visitors, which is a big deal for me. Overall, the environment was clean, and the staff was friendly and professional. (Even the front desk security had manners).

Doctors here are pleasant, but the staff is horrible. Impossible to reach someone at front desk. They use a call center to prevent speaking with someone at location directly. If you some how get a call back the location staff makes it clear that they want to do the absolute minimum & even had one tell me " I don't want to get involved, better look it up yourself" when trying to get some guidance & support. Bad management & broken processes. A good example of how broken our health care system is today. Montefiore, do better! You really need to take a step back & do an audit of the quality of workers you are hiring to fill these roles. Absolute disappointment for people in the community.
