Great physician who is willing to partner with proactive patients. Complex disease doctors are a special group and Dr. Scoma brings patient-centric thinking and clear effort on behalf of those who are suffering. Other folks like CFD and Mayo have their own strengths and weaknesses - if you are medically sophistically (i.e. nurse, clinician, MD, etc) I can strongly reocmmend Dr. Scoma as a thoughtful and motivated partner in understanding and treating your chronic conditions.

I was initially very impressed with Dr. Scoma. He tried different medications to help my chronic fatigue and post exertion malaise. We stayed in touch thru texts and the occasional remote meeting. None of the meds helped but I stuck with him. Unfortunately, when I left the country, he had assured me we could still text and talk. In a severe crash, I reached out. No response. When I returned to NY I left messages, same thing. My case apparently was not severe enough for him, even tho it has gotten worse. I feel very disappointed with his committment to my care and total lack of response.
