I’m shocked by the way this office is handling our treatment. It feels like they are pushing certain procedures on patients instead of accommodating what the patient actually needs. We previously had a check-up and cleaning with Dr. Victoria, and she was excellent. We were very happy with the care and service we received. She scheduled us for a filling, but during that same visit she advised that if another tooth didn’t fall out on its own, it would need to be extracted. I called the office today to explain that we do not want to proceed with the filling at this visit and instead would like to schedule a tooth extraction, as the doctor had recommended extracting it if the tooth remained. However, I was told that the filling appointment cannot be changed because the filling is “mandatory,” and that we must come in for the filling appointment in order to be evaluated for the extraction. They also said they could not schedule a separate appointment for the extraction or a limited evaluation. It is extremely frustrating that the office seems to be insisting on a treatment we do not want, while refusing to schedule an evaluation for the treatment or treatment that was discussed and advised by the doctor. I would appreciate assistance in resolving this matter.
