VETERANS BEWARE - I should’ve heeded the warning of the other veterans post. To start, they didn’t check for ID or documents to verify who I was. Exam couldn’t have been more than 10 minutes. Even my wife was shocked. MD Yi Jia attempted to do a ROM test using a goniometer while standing away from me. It’s impossible to accurately measure ROM without placing the goniometer directly next to the patients joint or aligning it properly with someone’s body. According to VA regulations accurate measurement requires the use of a goniometer in close proximity to the joint, involving direct alignment and stabilization. His method amounted to a visual guesstimation rather than an objective measurement, which does not comply with VA requirements. I handed him an official report from a board certified bone and joint specialist MD diagnosis which he looked at briefly without discussing the findings nor administered further tests to verify the diagnosis. I don’t understand how the VA continues to allow people like this to conduct examinations. SEEK EXAMINATION ELSEWHERE
