Our family has been working very closely with the Glickman Center for the past several years due to the significant needs of our son. We have worked with Dr. Myers (Psychiatry) and his team for the duration and they have been nothing but compassionate, communicative, and supportive. They listen to our concerns and involve us with intervention decisions. We have found Dr. Myers to be approachable, knowledgeable and patient. One of the nurses in particular, Tina, has gone above and beyond to help us troubleshoot medication refills and other issues that have come up in a timely manner. We would recommend the providers we have encountered here without hesitation.

The nurses and ladies who get the phone are helpful and kind. I feel dismissed by the psychiatrist. Why is it a “Center for Autism” if all our teen has been offered are visits with a flat affect, cold, stoic, psychiatrist? It is not offering our teen any people who teach coping skills or life skills. There have not been any people to help her meet other young people. Our teen needs more than a visit for possible med management. We have been looking for help with ADL skills, anxiety management, RFID, help for selective mutism, and professionals who understand autism. We did not need another doctor who gives the “stink eye” to a mother who is concerned. The psychiatrist does not behave like a person who listens to what occurs in the home at all. I felt un-heard. 😰😨 I was hoping this place would be different. Our teen has some behaviors that are almost a slow suicide such as not eating “self-harm”, & not getting out of bed for days, over s period of 3 years. Any mother would be a wreck. I assumed it was a place to help our teen who never understood why she is different socially. The name makes the center seem like a support place to find others like her? She only found out about the autism 3 years ago. She has isolated herself. The place has not offered more than a psychiatric consult. She is going downhill fast since he allowed her to lower Effexor by 1/2 and not given any replacement meds. I’m extremely concerned for our young adult child and the doctor is not at all worried.
