Clout Lordess
This place is extremely unprofessional and misleading. When I initially applied to NYCC Psychotherapy Center, I was explicitly told I could choose between therapy, medication management, or both. There was no mention whatsoever that therapy would be required in order to receive psychiatric care. After deciding therapy was not a good fit for me, I was suddenly told I’m “not eligible” for medication-only appointments — with zero clear explanation. No clinical reasoning, no transparency, nothing. Just a vague denial. It honestly feels like the rules are being made up as they go. Either staff are not properly trained on their own policies, or patients are being misled during intake just to get them in the door. Instead of addressing the inconsistency, I was brushed off and told they could “help me find another agency,” which is not a solution — it’s avoidance. Patients should not have to chase down basic clarity or be forced into services they don’t want just to access care they were told was available. This experience felt dismissive, disorganized, and completely lacking in accountability. I would strongly recommend asking very detailed questions upfront, because what you’re told initially may not reflect how they actually operate.
