The doctor does her job well, but the office management is extremely frustrating. You are placed in a room and left there for over an hour with no explanation and no communication about when the doctor will come in. No one updates you. No one checks in. You’re just sitting there waiting, feeling completely ignored. This is very disrespectful to patients’ time. Medical care may be good, but the way patients are treated while waiting is unacceptable.

I had surgery at Maimonides Hospital in Brooklyn, and I was terrified. All the pre-surgery procedures, the tests, the questions — everything made me so anxious that I could hardly breathe. But then my doctor, Dr. Irina Mikheeva, walked in, and it felt like an angel had come to me. I’ve known her since 2012, and the moment I saw her smile, all my fear started to fade. She hugged me and spoke to me with such warmth and love, not just like a doctor, but like a mother comforting her child. When I was taken to the cold operating room, I started to cry and shake from fear, but Dr. Mikheeva gently covered me with warm blankets, held my hand, and stayed with me until I fell asleep. That moment I felt completely safe. My surgery went perfectly, and I am now feeling wonderful. I thank God every day for sending me such an amazing, kind, and truly angelic doctor. She is a blessing in my life!
