DO NOT GO- Disappointing experience — complete lack of cost transparency My wife and I visited this practice after developing flu-like symptoms. We are both healthy, active young professionals with no underlying conditions and no elevated risk factors, which is relevant context given the treatment decisions that followed. The doctor examined us both and suggested our symptoms were likely consistent with COVID-19. When we asked about the cost of the recommended test before proceeding, we received no clear answer — neither from the doctor nor the staff. To this day, we still have no idea what that test cost us. The lack of transparency did not stop there. Without waiting for a confirmed positive result, the doctor prescribed Paxlovid — Pfizer's antiviral medication — to both of us as a precautionary measure. Once again, when we asked about the price before filling the prescription, no answer was provided. It was only at the pharmacy counter that we learned the cost: over $1,300 per person. To summarize our experience: we left the practice having agreed to both a test and a prescription without ever receiving a straight answer on what either would cost. For two low-risk patients with unconfirmed diagnoses, being prescribed one of the most expensive medications on the market without any prior cost discussion is, frankly, unacceptable. Patients deserve to make informed decisions, and that includes financial ones. We hope this practice takes cost transparency seriously going forward, as this experience has significantly undermined our trust.
