I discontinued my service there because they are indeed all about the $$$. They repeatedly suggested that a take out a line of credit for dental services that are covered under my insurance. Horrible!!! Recently Dr. Harold Weiss DDS opened a new business by the name of New York Family Dentistry. Who are they trying to fool! Do your research and be aware of their rip-off practices!!!

I made an appointment at the office in January 2017 because I was having pain and it was a 5 minute drive from my home. My first appointment I was told I needed a treatment that cost $1800 and that my insurance did not cover it. So me being scared I went ahead and got the treatment. My next few appointment was great, my doctor was amazing. However everytime I went in for an appointment ( which was ever week ) I was always reminded of something I needed that insurance did not cover. In January, from my first appointment I was told that Jo-Becky would give me a phone call when my insurance approved my root canal for the pain I was having. 3 months went by and no phone call, I decided to look at reviews and realized that other people dealt with the same things I did. At this point I knew that calling this office was a waste of my time. I knew in March my insurance expired and had to be renewed. No one from the office called to say that they was still awaiting my approval or anything. Long story short, at the end of July I went to Cozine Dental Group. At the first appointment my Doctor sent my root canal to my insurance. A week and a half later my insurance called and said it was approved, a week after that my dentist office called to make my appointment. So in a matter of less than 2 months, from first appointment to date, I recieved my root canal and as of today my crown was sent to the lab to be made. This dental office is just all about getting people to get treatment and procedures that insurances do not cover. DO NOT GO HERE ! They also charge you $50 if you do not show up to your appointment. Please do your research before you go here. I'm still paying off my " $1800 " treatment today. I also found out that the treatment I recieved is more than $800, if that much. I CANT STRESS ENOUGH DO NOT GO HERE ! DO YOUR RESEARCH ! if you do decide to go here please do not let anyone scare you and talk you into doing a treatment that's not being covered. Get another opinion !
