Incredible experience. Obviously i can walk much better. Procedure not painful. Dr Bennet is not only very knowledgeable and professional but also very friendly respectfull. I never feel rushed, he rskes the time to explain everything. His staff are also very friendly and treat you with care! I am very fortunate to have him!!

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Bennett for over a year, and I want to be very clear that this review is not about him. Dr. Bennett has excellent bedside manner, listens carefully, and his treatments have been effective. I truly like him as a provider. Unfortunately, the office staff and billing experience at Boca Pain Institute has been extremely frustrating and unprofessional, to the point that I am considering leaving the practice despite how much I like my doctor. I recently changed employers and insurance companies and provided my new insurance information to the office. Before my most recent appointment, I personally verified with my insurance company—both online and by phone—that Dr. Bennett’s office is in-network. After my appointment, I was told I was being charged as a self-pay patient because they “don’t take my insurance.” When I questioned this, the staff member admitted that my insurance had not been verified prior to my appointment. I explained that if it wasn’t verified beforehand, then it needed to be verified properly and I should be contacted afterward for the correct copay. The following day, I was again told they do not take my insurance and that I must pay as self-pay. I informed them that I would contact my insurance company to confirm this before making any payment. At that point, the staff member hung up on me. I contacted my insurance company again, and they once more confirmed—both verbally and on their website—that the practice is in-network. They advised that the provider’s office should call the provider phone number to verify this directly. When I called the office back and relayed this information, the staff member told me she had “checked with the CEO,” who supposedly has all the contracts and “knows who is and isn’t in network,” and that my insurance was not accepted. I again explained that my insurance provider specifically instructed the office to call the provider line to verify this directly. She refused to do so, repeatedly stating that the CEO knows better. I told her it is not my job to tell the office how to do their job, but it is their responsibility to properly verify insurance before billing a patient. Instead of addressing the issue, she hung up on me for a second time. Being hung up on twice because staff failed to properly verify insurance and refused to take basic steps to resolve the issue is completely unacceptable. Dr. Bennett deserves far better administrative support. Patients should not be treated this way or forced to fight billing errors caused by the office’s lack of due diligence. If you choose this practice, be prepared to verify everything yourself and advocate aggressively, because the customer service and billing practices are severely lacking.
