I had great apprehension about having supervisors in my home. Yet, every individual from CFS who came into my home was professional and courteous. The time they spent with us was a perfect intersection of discretion and friendliness. I was also worried about how my children would react to having additional adults in the home under the circumstance. Again the team from CFS was the proper intersection of unobtrusive yet would engage with my children directly when they asked. In the end, their clear and detailed communications is what was required for our family to move on from the complex legal mess we found ourselves in. I had a very positive experience. Cannot imagine a better process nor outcome. While I cannot imagine, would not want to imagine having such a need in my life again. I am very happy to recommend CFS to anyone needing their services. I was going through a difficult divorce with my husband. We were not communicating as violence was part of our break up story. He (Michael Lawrence Bar-DOB 08/10/1971) was severely violent towards me. We are in Supreme Court in NYC. We have 2 children and I had supervised visits at CPS. The stuff was extremely unprofessional and un empathetic. I was not allowed to speak to my own children in my own language-language they knew. I was not allowed to have my children (7 years old) to sit on my lap. Bettina Thompson LCSW told me that she is « unmoved » by my family plight. Chris Bush LCSW wrote in court records that I am « creepy » I am putting in official professional complaint against agency and these unprofessional people.
