ENT & Allergy Associates - Madison Avenue

I was honestly surprised to see so many negative reviews, because my experience at this ENT clinic has been very positive. I have been coming here for allergy shots for about two years, and my symptoms have improved a lot compared to before I started treatment. The nurses are professional. The doctor is very knowledgeable and caring. I also really appreciate that the costs have been transparent from the beginning, which is not always the case in healthcare. Overall, this clinic has worked very well for me, and I feel comfortable continuing my treatment here.

TL;DR: Lack of cost transparency, surprise bills, unfriendly staff, and long waits — this practice feels predatory and unprofessional. During my care under Dr. Ofer Jacobowitz, procedures were performed without clear cost transparency, and I was later pressured with a hefty out-of-pocket bill. When I confirmed with my insurance, I found out no claim had even been submitted — yet the office still pursued me directly for payment. I filled out their contact form months ago explaining why this bill was inappropriate and instead of responding to my contact form request, they decided to send a law firm to collect on a debt that I think is not righteous at all. It seems that this practice is keen on doing this after reading all of these reviews now. The receptionists are also consistently unfriendly and dismissive, which sets a poor tone from the start. In the past, I was referred within the practice to Dr. Jonathan Aviv, who was running OVER an hour behind schedule. Nobody came to update or apologize, and I eventually had to leave for work. There was no follow up apology or attempt to make amends from the office. Experiences like this — along with many similar one-star reviews — make me believe this is a systemic issue here, not an isolated mistake. Patients deserve honesty, respect, and the ability to make informed decisions about their care, but this practice repeatedly fails to provide that.
