I am writing this review to document a deeply unprofessional and unacceptable experience with Emmet Dental and their receptionist, Latoya, during the second week of April 2026. My intention was simply to establish care with a new dentist closer to my home after being dissatisfied with my previous provider. Instead, I encountered a level of disorganization, rudeness, and negligence that raises serious concerns about this office’s operational standards. 1. Failure to Follow Basic Administrative and Patient‑Care Protocols When I first spoke with Latoya, I provided every piece of information necessary for the office to obtain my X‑rays and confirm my insurance: Name, phone number, and fax number of my previous dentist My email address My cell phone number My insurance information Latoya confirmed they accepted my insurance and scheduled me for April 23, 2026. She stated I would receive: A follow‑up call A confirmation email A text reminder An update regarding whether they successfully obtained my X‑rays None of this happened. No call. No email. No text. No confirmation. No update. No communication of any kind. This is a complete failure of basic patient communication standards. 2. Attempt to Shift Responsibility After Their Own Negligence When I called to ask why I was being told I might be billed — despite the fact that they never followed up with me at all — I was met with hostility instead of answers. I asked simple, reasonable questions: Why was there no reminder? What time was the appointment? Why was there no follow‑up regarding my X‑rays? Latoya could not answer a single one. Instead, she became defensive and dismissive, despite the fact that their office failed to complete the tasks they promised. 3. Rude, Unprofessional, and Disrespectful Conduct by Receptionist Latoya’s behavior was shockingly unprofessional: She repeatedly talked over me while I was asking for clarification She refused to transfer me to Dr. Emil Korori, a supervisor, or any manager She provided no solutions, no accountability, and no courtesy She abruptly and rudely hung up the phone This is not how a medical office should treat any patient — especially one who followed all instructions and provided all required information weeks in advance. 4. Pattern of Poor Service After this experience, it is no surprise that this office has accumulated negative reviews. The lack of communication, the refusal to take responsibility, and the unprofessional conduct from the front desk are systemic issues, not isolated incidents. 5. Conclusion My experience with Emmet Dental and receptionist Latoya was: Unprofessional Disorganized Disrespectful Negligent Completely unacceptable No patient should be treated this way. A dental office that cannot manage basic communication, refuses to provide accountability, and allows staff to behave in such an unprofessional manner should be thoroughly reviewed by management and, if necessary, by the appropriate regulatory authorities.
