the Renfrew Center of NYC changed both my life and outlook in recovery. When I first arrived , I was unmotivated, engaging in many behaviors, and was frankly unpleasant to be around. After shopping around different treatment centers, I wound up back at Renfrew. There I was met with caring treatment, forgiveness, and the chance to truly recover. The current staff is mindful, caring, and undoubtedly there for everyone’s best interest. I can’t thank the staff there enough for giving me a true shot at recovery !

Honestly, this place is awful. Was treated here a year ago and it genuinely caused a major backslide in my treatment journey. I had to leave and go elsewhere to be able to actually progress. The therapists are inexperienced, the rules are inane and feel punitive, and the staff generally is judgmental and incompetent. I’ve been to several centers and this is, by far, the worst. Maybe things have changed since I’ve been there, but I would not recommend. Hopefully things have gotten better, and I wish all patients well in their recovery.
