I was forced to attend this incredibly painful, and very hard program when I was 15 by my parents who knew no better. Overall, this was one of the most horrible and traumatic experiences of my whole life. The gentleman that talked me into going I found out was using IV heroin with my brother’s best friend as he was working on intake in Dynomite youth center. While I was upstate, there were many instances of staff and older students being inappropriate, using drugs, and bringing contraband on site. I was also humiliated, with emotional damage, stolen from, and once I finally left, my parents were told that they didn’t know who I was when I ran away and refused to go back there after eight months. This is my testimony, and I would not recommend this place to an animal much less a human being. I am not sure who is running it now, but I’m sure Nick Salerno is probably passed on, and all the staff that were there between the years 2000 to 2002 are culpable in my pain, and probably have a very irresponsible and completely unprofessional way of acting, since I observed this myself as a child. I really doubt that people such as themselves or actually help people. It’s all about client retention and how much money they trying to help their kids.
