Although the front desk staff and assistants were very kind and welcoming, I unfortunately had a concerning experience with the dentist. I was told I had multiple cavities that needed to be filled immediately, and that two of them would turn into root canals if I didn’t act quickly. I was quoted around $1,500 for treatment. Feeling uneasy, I decided to get a second opinion the following week. I saw two different dentists in Manhattan, and both told me I only have one small cavity. They explained that what appeared to be additional cavities on the X-ray were actually shadows caused by a poorly done nearby filling that was affecting the image of the adjacent tooth. I was shocked by the huge difference in diagnosis and cost. It really felt like a money grab, especially since the same urgent language was used at this office. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend getting a second — or even third — opinion before agreeing to major dental work here.
