We had an appointment today for my daughter at Dental Smiles 4 Kids Pediatric Dentistry, located at 18-15 Francis Lewis Blvd, Whitestone, NY 11357. She was having significant tooth pain and needed attention. Unfortunately, we arrived about 10 minutes late because there was an accident on the way and some streets were closed. I understand offices have schedules and policies, and I respect that. However, I was disappointed with the way the situation was handled. We were told the doctor could not see my daughter because they were closing at 5 PM and there was not enough time, so we had to reschedule almost 3 weeks later. What bothered me most was the way we were spoken to at the front desk. I felt the interaction lacked compassion and understanding, especially considering my daughter was in pain and had already missed school that day. We have been patients at this office for many years because Dr. Kourtsounis (“Dr. K”) has always been an excellent and caring doctor. This review is not about the doctor, but about the customer service experience we had during this visit.
