Really professional. Friendly, clean office. Oral Surgeon Dr. Blum has even followed up 6 times in the 48 hours since my procedure to check up on progress. Truly unheard of and remarkable. Highly, highly recommended. Met with Dr. Schwartz too and very friendly. Only high praise for the team!

I would give Dr. Blum ZERO stars if I could. I have had 2 appointments with Dr. Blum, the first was in November for having 2 baby teeth pulled. It was just supposed to be a consult, but she pressured me to have it done that day. She was not understanding of my dental anxiety and said that I did not need IV Sedation for pulling baby teeth and that they are 'just baby teeth'. Against my better judgement, I did the teeth pulling with just sweet air, a decision I would live to regret. I had had a bad experience with sweet air in the past, but she was pushy and I felt like I couldn't do the sedation. One tooth came out no problem, one tooth did not want to come out and at that moment, I REALLY regretted not getting the sedation. Then I came back in February for an exposure of an impacted tooth, which was an even worse experience than the first one. First she got very frustrated when she could not get a vein from me(yes, I am hard to get a vein from but my dentist is calm and works sometimes for 10 or 20 minutes until he gets the vein that will work) and wanted to do the surgery without sedation. Is she NUTS?!?!?! She said 'Well, what are we going to do?' There was no way I was letting her do surgery on my mouth with just Novocain! She started just randomly poking me before finally finding a vein that worked. When the surgery was over, my mom was concerned about the look on my face(she thought I looked brain damaged - lol), Dr. Blum dismissed her concerns and said gruffly "She's fine! Of course she knows where she is!" I was fine, but there is a nicer way to approach a parent's concern. To make matters worse after the surgery I discovered that she knocked a bracket off(on the opposite side of the side that she was working on, mind you). She was booked so tightly that she didn't even want to look at it, but finally agreed to. She couldn't make it any better, in fact she made it worse irritating the gum around the bracket more. With everything that has happened, if I need more surgery in the future, there is no doubt that I will be using a different oral surgeon.
