I’m really sad to be writing this because the medical care itself was excellent. I saw Irina Fabre three times and she was truly outstanding, probably the best PCPs I’ve had in NYC. I will really miss her. Unfortunately, I won’t be coming back because the billing and administrative side of this practice has been a complete mess. Over the past year, I’ve dealt with inconsistent information, extremely poor follow-up, and months-long gaps with no responses. I was told different and sometimes contradictory explanations about the same charges, received multiple different bill amounts for the same visits, and was even told at one point that an appeal had been filed with my insurance, only to later find out there was no confirmation it ever was. They are also trying to charge me for part of what was scheduled as a preventive annual visit, and their explanation has changed multiple times over the course of months. On top of that, my visit was billed under the name of a doctor I never saw, which was part of what caused the initial insurance problems. At this point, I don’t feel confident that anyone is actually in charge of billing or account management there. It’s a shame, because the clinician I saw was wonderful, but the administrative and billing side is so disorganized that it completely undermines the trust you need in a medical practice. Great doctor. Really bad business.
