I have lived in 180 Riverside Boulevard for a long time now and I have to say I am very happy to have someone like Peter in the role of Assistant General Manager after years of frequent turnover. I have found Peter to be very responsive and to actually listen to the issues I discussed with him. It is a big building and I wish we had more staff, but Peter has been a welcome new presence to the management team along with Alexandra who has also been very responsive and communicative. I personally have found that by working with Peter, the issues I brought up have been resolved. I am looking forward to things continuing to improve here.

I’m an NYC native and while the location and living along the Hudson River park is ideal 8 out of the 12 months of the year, my 5 years at 180 have been riddled with basic building maintenance issues and astronomical rent increases year over year. (My rent has increased over $1,500 throughout my time here.) -Building management often changes and lease terms revised each year, each time making terms stricter and not at all tenant friendly. (No month to month options and astronomical fees upon move out!) -Trusted, beloved building workers of 20+ years have been let go and concierge staff, while always nice and friendly, are constantly changing. Additionally, they rarely have any helpful information when it comes to building issues, updates. - We experience constant elevator outages, laundry repairs and heat/hot water outages with NO notice and no status updates on repairs. I suffered through the flu this seasons and on a 20degrees nyc day from 8am-after 8pm with no heat/hot water and no one available to provide updated, I landed in urgent care and the building refuses to make any type of rent concessions when then outages happen. - The laundry and amenities have been a constant issue as they are dated an not well maintained. We finally got several new laundry machines, but the price to use machines keeps rising and now all leases require a monthly $100 amenity fee- not worth it. The biggest perk is the location, the amenities are not a draw, they just want to add another $100 to your rent. (Gym is fine, very basic.) - The leasing staff and representatives are not very helpful as they change frequently as well. They call for lease renewal reminders, but it’s an automated machine and hard to get an actual person on the phone. They are very slow to answer emails and offer no solutions, just clearly looking to make more money for the company while not addressing fundamental issues of the living experience. - The building is currently undergoing some outer repairs and I live on the 19th floor and have men outside my living room window before 9am. While it’s a nice building and location, just know what you’re spending your money on and think carefully when weighing all your options.
