I am in absolute awe of Dr. Nina's level of care and healing wisdom. I came into the clinic having experienced a bout of what I had come to assume was some version of post-viral fatigue for about four months. Having previously been a very active person, I found myself with symptoms I just couldn't shake: Breathlessnes, Brain Fog, Persistent Exhaustion, Post Exercise Fatigue, etc. Even walking around the block had gotten hard all of a sudden. I just felt like my body was really brittle all of a sudden and sleep and rest were no help. Prior to coming to Evolve, I had gone to conventional healthcare providers / specialists (to literally no benefit whatsoever), I tried no shortage of supplements, added breath work, slowed down my commitments, reduced my exercise levels, and just generally was trying a LOT of different things. Having gone down the many rabbit holes of Reddit and reading horror stories from folks in Long Covid / CFS groups who had symptoms that looked like my own -- and ultimately worsened by trying to return to their previous activity levels too fast -- I was starting to get pretty resigned to thinking this would be a long-term chronic condition I would have to manage or at least one that would take me a LONG time to recover from fully. I came to the Evolve clinic on the spur of a recommendation from another wellness provider I went to. I assumed I was going to get some kind of "acupuncture massage" -- and wasn't expecting much else. To my surprise, I found in Dr. Nina a kind of wellness support that I honestly had assumed no longer existed. She was warm, attentive, asked holistic questions, showed genuine care, and was able to make a range of deductions about was going on with me. Some of her early assessments about my profile shocked me at how accurate they were. Throughout our conversation, she conveyed a very strong conviction that this was something my body could heal from (even while I expressed some resignation to a lowered state). As someone who knew nothing about Chinese medicine, I valued greatly her explanations on how TCM saw a condition like mine. This was a TOTAL contrast to my primary care provider, who basically told me: "Well, you're not dying" and sort of shoo'ed me off. After that first session, Dr. Nina prescribed a personal concoction of Chinese herbs. I took the herbs dutifully for two weeks. Came back for another session two weeks later -- then went off with another round of herbs. Then came back for a third session after another two weeks. And honestly.... to my absolute surprise, by the third session. I felt totally like myself. I felt clear-headed. I could power through workouts -- without the blow-back of symptoms I had been experiencing before. I had my old stamina again. It was a total shock to me that after about 6 weeks of treatment -- I could have recovered so much ground having spent months in a limbo state. Obviously, my experience was very personal to me. And I'm sure others' journeys might look very different. But I offer all this to say: If you've been searching around for health/wellness support and have found yourself disappointingly frustrated -- you owe it to yourself to give the Evolve Clinic and Dr. Nina a chance. You might end up with a successful experience like my own. Or at the very least, you'll find yourself supported by an incredibly compassionate provider who will honor your experience, offer you wisdom from a vein of traditional medicine that has been around for centuries, and just give you hope that someone else is here to help you find a path forward. Can't recommend Dr. Nina and the Evolve clinic enough!
