Extremely disorganized billing department. Called me two hours before my appointment saying I wasn’t eligible. I called their billing department and John said he would look into it after asking for copies of insurance card (which they should’ve already had, this was my fourth appointment with them,) and promised he would call me at 12:10 PM to confirm whether or not I’m eligible for my 1:40PM appointment. I never received a call. He left me scrambling, calling the billing department seven times before my appointment to figure out if I would even be seen under my insurance. I get an email from him the next day, with a mediocre apology, saying I wasn’t eligible and that they’re going to stop taking my insurance. Luckily, I didn’t get seen because I would’ve had to pay out of pocket due to his carelessness. And with my overall experience with Mindful Care, the last thing I want to do is give any of these people my money. There was a time I called saying I was going to be late to my 12;30 appointment due to traffic, and they said it shouldn’t be an issue. Well, it was. As soon as I get there at 12:36, they say I won’t be seen due to being late by more than five minutes, which was ridiculous. I drove 30 minutes just to call them from their lobby to figure out a solution that works (you cannot connect to their actual location over the phone, you get sent to their corporate call center and have to deal with them.) My nurse practitioner, J Kristine Rendal Sattem , was more often than not calling out of the office, so I wasn’t able to do weekly appointments with her, even though Thursday was the only day she was in person. Her demeanor and approach made me very uncomfortable. I felt like I couldn’t open up to her about how I was feeling, she was cold and didn’t really feel invested in helping me. All she did was refill my prescriptions, and that’s kind of it. If that’s what you’re looking for, go for it, but if you want someone who’s truly invested, you should look elsewhere. That about wraps up my experience with them. Never again. P.S. The facility itself is very sterile, corporate, and mundane. Borderline AI.
