I had a filling done by Dr. Alexander Sakthivelu, and unfortunately the filling fell out within 2 weeks after treatment. This was not a new chip or damage to my tooth. The material that had been placed simply just came out. I went there in January and wasn't able to come back until May as I was overseas. When I contacted the office, I was informed that I would need to pay again to have it replaced and that there were no guarantees on fillings. Even if we were to assume that it fell out in May, fillings are generally expected to last significantly longer than a few months, I found this response disappointing, especially since I paid out of pocket for the procedure. I also experienced some scheduling issues during treatment. On the day of the original appointment, after I was already seated and prepared for the procedure, I was asked to return later that day. When I came back, I was not seen and had to schedule yet another appointment to have the work completed. To be fair, the office staff have generally been accommodating, particularly because I live overseas and my return was delayed. However, I remain concerned that a filling failed so quickly and that no effort was made to address the issue. He refused to look at it without additional cost. Based on my experience, I expected greater accountability for dental work that did not last a reasonable amount of time.
