Bayside Dental Associates Llp

I've (unfortunately) been a patron here since 2017. Bayside Dental Group has consistently been horrible. They really need to close. Very brief teeth cleanings — there have been times where I've waited 1.5 hrs for a 3 minute teeth cleaning. Dr. Halpert is not thorough. He won't mention anything going on in your mouth unless you do, but even then, there's no line of communication. He's just... there... going through the motions. Funneling you in and out. The receptionist with the multiple chains around her neck is incredibly inept and overall unprofessional. She went as far as to slam the glass window on me. She also refused to give me my referral to see my oral surgeon — I need the referral in order to receive service. I asked if she was able to email the referral to me, because it's more accessible that way, and she told me, "If it's printed why do I have to email you?" In 2023, isn't email common practice? Anyway, despite the waiting room being empty (as pictured) she made me wait 30 mins before printing out the referral and again refused to email it to me. Incredibly ableist and inconsiderate. I hate that I've stayed here for 6 years but luckily, they won't be seeing me again! Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. I'd choose NYU Dental's students before this place — they'll likely offer better service and professionalism. Bayside Dental Group really doesn't need to be in business — this is clear to me and the 40 other people who've also left reviews.

The absolute worst dentist experience of my life. I have been going to this office for the past 2 years, it’s never been great but continued going for the convenience factor. I arrived 30 minutes early for my appointment, the receptionist Tran said my insurance was expired. I responded I was here in September how was I processed then? She said it didn’t go through, and there was no follow up on their part?! I called got them the information they needed to see me and my daughter. Tran the receptionist was literally eating sunflower seeds and spitting the shells out at the desk while I was sorting out the insurance information. I got called back at 4:10 40 minutes after my appointment time, I asked the hygienist “a little short staffed today”, she said a patient came early and that caused them to be behind (makes no sense). My daughter was done and waiting on me the whole time during my cleaning. The actual dentist never came in to follow up with me. I asked the hygienist “all good no cavities”? She said nope good to go (I’ve never not seen the actual dentist during a cleaning). When I was checking out I asked Fran the receptionist for our goody bags she said coldly we don’t have any, I turned to my daughter and said we won’t be coming back here. Fran said that’s fine so unprofessional and I wasn’t even speaking to her. This woman was literally wearing a track suit and sucking on sunflower seeds the whole time I was there, so unsanitary and unprofessional. Don’t go to Bayside Dental!!!!
