I am writing specifically to recognize KC Osofsky, an EMP Navigator at Apicha Community Health Center. As a single person navigating health insurance on my own, I felt overwhelmed and unsure of how to make the right decision. KC immediately put me at ease. She was patient, knowledgeable, and incredibly thorough. What I appreciated most was that KC was completely unbiased. Because she is not affiliated with any insurance carrier, I felt confident that her only goal was helping me find the plan that best fit my needs. We spent over an hour on the phone reviewing plans side-by-side, comparing benefits, discussing costs, checking prescription coverage, and evaluating provider networks. KC helped me compare my doctors, hospital systems, and medications, and guided me through a process that felt incredibly overwhelming at first. Most importantly, she made me feel supported and not alone while making a very important healthcare decision. Because of KC’s expertise, patience, and kindness, I now feel confident in the health insurance plan I selected. I am incredibly grateful for her help and highly recommend both KC and Apicha Community Health Center to anyone navigating the health insurance marketplace.

I’ve had such a positive experience with my therapist, Omar Hakim, at Apicha Community Health Center. From the very beginning, he has always treated me with kindness, patience, and genuine understanding. He creates such a comfortable and judgment-free environment that makes it easier to open up and talk honestly about difficult things. One thing I truly appreciate is how accommodating and supportive he has been whenever I’ve missed an appointment, instead of making me feel bad about it, he has always helped me reschedule and made sure I still received the support I needed. That level of compassion and flexibility really means a lot. Omar consistently shows that he truly cares about his patients and wants to see them grow, heal, and do well. He listens carefully, gives thoughtful guidance, and never rushes conversations, which makes every session feel meaningful and productive. His calm demeanor, professionalism, empathy, and patience have made a huge impact on me, and I’m genuinely grateful for all the support and encouragement he has given me throughout my time at Apicha Community Health Center.
