Miguel Calimano, MD

I cannot recommend Dr. Calimano enough. He has been instrumental in helping me become the the best version of myself I ever could have imagined, and he has had a profound impact on my life. Dr. Calimano has helped me survive many traumatic experiences including a difficult marriage and divorce an a horrible dog mauling. For 15 years, he has listened and managed my medication with care. This is one of the longest, most honest, and vulnerable relationships I've ever had, and I truly don't know what I would do without him. Dr. Calimano has always been an outstanding resource for my mental health and wellbeing. The word grateful doesn't come close to the way I feel about having him as my doctor. I am a better person because of it.

I was a patient in Saint Catherine's hospital. I never met this man before in my life. He came into my room on a Monday for two minutes never met him before in my life and supposedly found me that I was suicidal. He wrote a commitment letter and five days later, the police came to an active to bring me to CPAP Where they did not find any reason to hold me more than two hours. This man is a hack be careful I didn't mentally leave my whole life. I've never met such a hack Such a crooked person It says on here he's an addiction specialist, but I was in a rehab. He was seeing nursing home patients he needs to make up his mind what his specialty is Like I said, be careful he definitely a strange dude. Look at his reading as a doctor three rating now it's gonna go down even more thanks to me.

I brought my daughter to Miguel Calimano and was not satisfied with his level of care. He is a pill pusher and does not take the time to ask patients questions or do proper examinations. Avoid this doctor.

A loved one I transported there monthly was his patient. My opinion is he is a careless pill pusher. Sometimes forgets to call in prescriptions, sometimes shows up hours late to appointments, staff doesn't even tell you he's not there while you are sitting waiting to see him. Never once in three years of multiple complex, powerful medications did he ever order blood work or consider alternate dosages or treatments. Just quick in and out and here are your drugs and $650 charge to insurance. Horrible. What a racket!

I have been a patient of Dr Calimano‘s for 10 years. He has always come through when I needed him the most. I have been dealing with severe anxiety and PTSD and he’s always been able to talk me down when I feel I needed to add more meds, and explains to me why I may be going through what I am going through and other alternatives without medication. He also knows when I truly do need something he won’t make me suffer. Some people think he is tough and that he doesn’t care and I am here to tell you he absolutely cares! Dr Calimano carries a lot on his shoulders being affiliated with Saint Catherine’s hospital and also has his own hours later in the day into the late evening at his private practice. He is hard-working and puts his patients first. Anytime I need a refill, all I have to do is send him an email and he sends it in that same day. He has even helped me over the weekends and that is something very rare compared to what I have dealt with in the past. It can be very intimidating and stressful finding a psychiatrist, you will not be wasting your time with him. He knows exactly what he’s doing. To anybody that has had a bad experience with him, I recommend having another visit with him and explaining why you had that bad experience. He will listen without judgement and address the issue(s).
