Dr. Csompo is the best OB/GYN that I could ever think of. He is an excellent human being, words can describe him. I was glad to find him when I was going through a rough time. I will be always thankful for what Dr Csompo did for me and for delivering my daughter. I was upset that my appointment was canceled because of the office closing and Dr. Csompo leaving the office. I wish Dr Csompo the best and I hope to find him soon 🫡

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Michael Csompo. He is truly one of the most professional, kind, and attentive doctors I’ve ever had. From the very beginning, he took the time to explain everything thoroughly, making sure I always understood what was going on with my care. He never rushed me, always listened carefully to my concerns, and provided clear, thoughtful answers to all my questions. His compassionate approach and genuine care made me feel comfortable and confident every step of the way. He always treated me with respect and kindness, and I could tell he truly cares about his patients. It breaks my heart that this office is closing, because he is a doctor who makes such a difference in the lives of the people he cares for. Any practice or hospital will be very lucky to have him, and I’m grateful for all the support and guidance he’s given me.

Dr.Csompo was very patient and thorough with addressing all my concerns. He is an exceptional physician. He delivered three of my sons and I drive every year from Suffolk county to Queens for my annual check up. Dr. Csompo is an excellent and outstanding OB/GYN.

I’d honestly give 2.5 stars if I could . I chose Dr. Csompo to be my OBGYN for my 1st pregnancy back in March 2025 because of insurance reasons, the fact that I was planning to give birth at NYPQ, and because he seemed to have mostly good reviews. Now in hindsight, I kind of wish I hadn’t. I’m not sure if the good reviews are from patients who don’t really need complex care or if they’re from many years ago when Dr. Csompo cared more about doing more than just the absolute bare minimum. But it might not matter much at this point anyway because I think Dr. Csompo may be quitting his position with NYP soon. The 1st appointment went ok. The quality of my subsequent prenatal visits definitely went downhill. I remember telling Dr. Csompo several times that there were moments when my blood pressure was shooting up to the 140s/90s and he kept telling me to not stress about it. And there were several times where my bloodwork or urinalysis results came back abnormal and I never got any followup on them. He was often just dismissive with anything I said or asked. Unfortunately my pregnancy ended in a miscarriage in early July. I remember calling the clinic early in the morning on a Monday after I started experiencing increased vaginal discharge over the weekend. The nurse informed me to be on a lookout for a sudden burst of liquid or to look out for blood and to go to the ER if either of those two things happened. Well, neither of those symptoms happened but the whole time my body was actually going into premature labor. If I was better informed, I might have been able to save my pregnancy. But what has happened has happened at this point. Then 6 weeks post-miscarriage, scheduling a visit after my miscarriage was just an incredible headache. One of the nurses also promised me that I could easily get my disability paperwork filled out by their office only to call me a day later and say “Oh no, actually we can’t do it". Then tell me how I went to my PCP clinic and they filled out the paperwork for me no problem? When I finally did see Dr. Csompo and expressed concern about my hcg level still not being negative and being recommended to do a pelvic MRI, he was again dismissive to my concerns. His exact words were, “I’m willing to bet a million dollars your beta will be 0”. Fine, if he wasn’t going to order my pelvic MRI right then and there, I was willing to wait for the beta. Guess what? My beta wasn’t 0. I then called the clinic and requested for Dr. Csompo to order the pelvic MRI. Can you believe he STILL tried to talk me out of having it ordered? Even when he turned out to be wrong about my beta being negative? Maybe he didn’t hear me completely when I gave him a breakdown of everything that happened to me after my miscarriage. I had sepsis and ALMOST DIED because of retained products of conception. How can Dr. Csompo not understand that if there was ANY chance at all that I still had RPOC, that I needed to know as SOON AS POSSIBLE? Anyway, at least he ordered the pelvic MRI (and a subsequent lab draw for the following week) for me, but the fact that I had to advocate for myself so much to make him do something relatively simple on his end makes me quite angry. Then the clinic misinformed me about the MRI needed a prior auth when it didn't. Thankfully the MRI confirmed that I didn’t have RPOC. But the second lab visit showed that my beta was still not negative. I once again called the clinic back asking them to leave a message for the doctor in regards to next steps. Dr. Csompo never called me back. It’s just crazy to me how little he cared about me towards the end. It probably has to do with how insurance doesn’t pay for postnatal visits or something. Or like I stated at the beginning, it may also have to do with Dr. Csompo ending his employment with NYP. Anyway, this was a long winded story about how things may have been different for me had I not chosen Dr. Csompo to be my OBGYN for my pregnancy. I feel like as someone with PCOS and as someone who got pregnant via IVF, I needed better-than-average care.

Dr. Csompo is an excellent doctor who takes time to discuss your medical concerns and issues. I have been going to Dr. Csompo for years and I have never been disappointed with his diagnosis and treatments.
