Dr. Abbott saved my life when I was 23.I was diagnosed with hydrocephalus at 23. Shunts were placed by another physician. Unfortunately I ended up having debilitating spinal tap headaches for 2 years. Dr. Abbott placed a pressure monitor in my head, and had CT scans done. Come to find out, I never had hydrocephalus and the shunts were basically sucking my ventricles shut. Dr. Abbott removed one of the shunts, closed off the other shunt just in case, and we waited a year to see if the hydrocephalus would return. It didn’t. He removed the last shunt. I’ll be 42 soon. I still get headaches now and then due to the side effects of the shunts, but it’s manageable. If it wasn’t for Dr. Abbott and his staff. I wouldn’t be where I am today. I became a nurse to help others and use my experience to educate my patients when need be. I have two beautiful girls and enjoying my life to the fullest. Thank you Dr. Abbott and your staff. We always talk about you till this day. You saved my life.

Dr Abbott is amazing! He saved my son’s life. Another dr had already told us surgery would probably kill my son. Dr Abbott took on the surgery with the complete confidence!
