Imo Joseph Akpan, M.D.

Dr. Akpan is truly the best doctor I’ve ever had. She genuinely cares about her patients and always takes the time to listen and make you feel heard. You never feel rushed, and she explains everything clearly so you understand your care. Her kindness, professionalism, and dedication really stand out. I’m so grateful to have her as my doctor, highly recommend!

Dr. Imo Akpan was very thoughtful, informative, and considerate when she explained my situation to me and my options for resolution. She went above and beyond to make sure I got all of the necessary tests that same day on site, and follow-up the next day, so that my issues could be analyzed and resolved quickly and conveniently. I highly recommend Dr. Akpan as a doctor and expert in her field.

When i've meant Dr Akpan for the first time she came with an smile and greeted me so warmly, she talked to me in ways i understood what she was telling me, i was comfortable and felt i could ask any question i wanted to know, She explain the medicine and why i needed to continue to use it,

I have recently had the pleasure of being attended to by Dr. Imo Joseph Akpan. She is by far one of the best physicians I have ever had the good fortune to encounter. One of the many greats at Columbia Presbyterian. She is informative, compassionate, has excellent communication skills, and follows through on her patients. She doesn't just see a person at their visit and then forget about them when the visit is over. With Dr. Akpan, you know you have an excellent support system at your fingertips, so crucial for seniors like me, who don't have alot of family. Dr. Akpan also has an excellent team, that is just as compassionate, understanding and supportive as she is. That is important, and impressive. Thank you Dr. Akpan!

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get through for the video conference, but I have to say that I had a wonderful experience. Peaches was very helpful and tried every way possible to make this possible when I explained that I could get my mother, Elizabeth Wilson, in for her in-person visit appointment. We need more caring people like her.
