I had a disappointing experience with Dr. Hamid Behzadi Aufawl's practice. I was prescribed tretinoin and finasteride, which I used consistently for three months without any side effects. When I called to request a refill, I was told by the secretary that I had to repeat blood tests in order to continue the medication. This requirement felt completely unnecessary. Finasteride is a DHT blocker and, in healthy individuals who aren’t taking other medications, does not typically require bloodwork every three months. I double-checked this with other medical professionals and reliable sources. Despite having normal results previously and no symptoms or concerns, the clinic insisted on repeat testing with no clear justification. This comes across as a tactic to generate unnecessary appointments and procedures, rather than a decision made in the best interest of the patient. I will not be returning and would not recommend this clinic to others. Ethical care means putting patients first, not creating hurdles that seem more about profit than health.

Dr Behzadi is a caring, professional and knowledgeable Doctor. He takes his time explaining to you the treatments or medications. I love that he does not rush you out if the office like a lot of other doctors due.

AMAZING DOCTOR! He’s so intelligent, caring, thorough, genuine and sweet. Dr. Behzadi does NOT rush through each visit like other doctors. When you are in Dr Behzadis room, he makes you feel as though you are his only patient for the day, never rushing & always taking his time to answer all my questions, even if I feel they are silly. After years of visiting Dr. Behzadi he’s become apart of the family. I guarantee you that you’ve NEVER experienced such a one of a kind doctor as Dr. Behzadi!!!!

Dr Behzadi is one of the most thorough doctors I’ve ever been to. He’s also an awesome, caring and compassionate doctor and person. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, caring and compassionate doctor in NYC.

AVOID! It has taken me a while to share my story of how I got duped by Dr. Behazdi because I was embarrassed that I would let this happen. The long story short is that for a year and a half Dr. Behazdi convinced me that I had a thyroid problem and needed to be on high dosages of thyroid medications. This required me to come to the office for a check up once a month. During these visits he would run a bunch to tests. Finally when I went to a specialist she told me that there was absolutely no need for me to be on any meds and that the dosages that he was giving me were insanely high. I then realized that he might have lied to me in order to get me to keep on coming back to the office for check ups, so I went back and checked my insurance claims and saw that he was billing my insurance company for procedures that he never did, like earwax removals. Needless to say, I was horrified and so saddened to realize that this doctor was giving me meds that I didn’t need, which included wasting so much of my time and money and putting my health at risk! When I called to try to get all of my medical records so I could have them in case I got an adverse reaction to the meds, they kept on lying to me and saying that they sent me the records and never did, so Im convinced that even the people in the office know that he is a scam artist. Avoid this man at all costs!
