Fernando Cordero, D.M.D.

I give this establishment one star, Dr. Cordero is an amazing dentist and he genuinely cares for his patients. My only complaint is his front desk receptionist. She and I have had numerous amount of verbal exchanges because she is simply rude, unkind, and always has an attitude whether it’s over the phone or in person. (She will not update my chart with correct phone number as I have addressed plenty of times) Not only has she been rude to me but she was rude to my mother today, who is also a patient there and that was the final straw for me. Can’t understand a receptionist that hangs up on a returning patient, says a lot about the receptionist and her care towards patients. Dr. cordero if you read this review, I strongly suggest you require your staff to take some trainings to better deal with patients who actually like the work you do and want to keep going back to you.

This place is by far the most unprofessional office you will visit. You’re lucky to get an appointment and when you do, your follow up comes months later. This office was supposed to begin work and conveniently forgot to mention a nearly 2k copay for the work. When I arrive after taking a day off from work, they casually whisper and make mention of the copay. Clearly no one is walking around with 2thousand in their purse. When asked why I wasn’t given this information after calling the office nearly everyday to see if anyone has cancelled, one employee claims they did. They then change the story to say the dentist did. None of this happened. If it had, I would have made the choice to get the work done or not. Better yet, come prepared to pay! I was completely caught off guard. I would have gladly laid my card down if there was anyone to even admit they did not mention it to me...ever. This is after numerous appointments at this office prior to this day. Every other co pay was clearly stated numerous times before the work was done. This one was not. This office has zero consideration for it’s patients and their time. Beware and go elsewhere where you are sure to get work done expeditiously and are treated with respect. If I can give them zero stars, I would!

I absolutely love going to Dr. Cordero for the past umpteen years. He's very kind, patient, and caring with patients as well as on point with providing treatments that are needed. I will continue going to his office, because of services and his care as well as the convenience of location.

I dont think that Dr. Cordero is a bad dentist but the front desk is a mess, I call for second time for schedule an appointment at his office on Saint Nicholas Avenue on Ridgewood,and after 10 minutes waiting on the phone, says that :" The system shuts down, call later". How kind of staff is this? For people like the receptionist, many professional lost his practice.

First time visit and the doctor plus the staff were friendly and the doctor knowledgeable about my questions. I definitely recommended.
