Horrible diagnostician. Suffered from progressive muscular degeneration for years. Saw him twice, both times he dismissed my symptoms. The second time he and his team, including a nurse practitioner, sent for two sets of genetic testing, one in which I had to pay $600 out of pocket, yield no results and brusquely told me to go back to my neurologist. I had to pursue my own genetic testing at NYP Columbia, which correctly diagnosed my condition. Dismissive and delayed my care. And you have to wait ~45 minutes to see a resident, med students and have to repeat your whole history every time. This was at the MDA clinic at SUNY Downstate.

This wasnt recent but i will forever be grateful for having seen this dr. After seeing multiple neuros he was the first to listen to me when i said i refused to be treated with prednisone and wanted to try other options first. He was caring and understanding when i explained why and i will always be grateful fot that. If i could give more stars i would. Best neuro in ny

Dr Ansizka is the best neuromuscular doctor in the country . Don’t waist your time with anybody else . He’s caring, patient and most of all accessible if you have any questions. He also explains everything so you know exactly what’s going on . I can’t thank him and his staff for all the help they gave me .
