Quality medical care includes respecting patients’ time. Unfortunately, that is clearly lacking here. This practice shows a consistent lack of respect for patients’ time and needs due to the doctor’s poor time management. We have experienced extremely long wait times on four separate occasions. All of our appointments turned into a 3-4 hour wait. Each time, we were told the doctor was delayed due to an unexpected delivery. While emergencies can happen, repeatedly overbooking patients without adjusting the schedule shows disregard for patients who are left waiting for hours. Expecting pregnant and unwell elderly patients to sit for hours past their appointment time reflects a lack of consideration and professionalism. If the doctor cannot manage appointments responsibly, patients should be informed in advance or scheduled differently.
