The doctor is good and takes his times to explain, but the front desk receptionists are rude people.

I visited Dr. Subgwai Chiu on February 28, 2025, through a referral from my primary physician. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. After a short wait, I met with Dr. Chiu. He was patient and knowledgeable. The doctor explained the cause of my problem and his plan for my recovery. After the session, I was confident that my issue would be resolved. Thank you.

If I can put Zero star, I will!!! This doctor office is a joke!!! The front desk people treat patient with no respect. My dad was there few months ago for the procedure and somehow there was an insurance issue. We tried to resolve it and it takes a bit long to get it fixed. Once it was fixed and we called the doctor office again. The front desk lady answered with an attitude and said they would not deal with this again and told my dad to put it up with the insurance or have my dad paid the bill himself!!!! I do understand how frustrated with the insurance nowadays, but it is clearly not the patients fault. So please, don’t be that nasty to the patients, people comes to this doctors office for a good reason and they are not here for the front desk to humiliate or get yell at.

Never spoken to such rude and unprofessional medical office staff before. We reached out as the Primary Care Provider for a mutual patient's consultation reports, which is required for proper treatment of any patient. The office refused to provide based on incorrect HIPAA law cited. When I asked to speak to the manager, the office staff said "no, you can't". When I tried to compromise and offered to have the patient provide verbal consent on the phone, the office staff said "no, you can't". This is unbelievable. Such practice should not be allowed to continue.

Dr. Chiu is an easy-going doctor who will take the time to understand your issues, and give you his professional diagnosis with patience and insight. As a guy I really hate going to the doctor's office but I am glad I was able to have a positive visit. Definitely recommend if you have cardiovascular issues to look into. Bonus points for the friendly staff.
