Dr Bircea is amazing. He helped my wife in the beginning and with seeing how well he helped her, I decided to see him as well. Alina is amazing, she treats you like family. She is always so kind and nurturing. Dr Bircea is the best - he keeps everything so flexible for my busy schedule. I would recommend his practice to my family and friends.

I stopped seeing this provider awhile back due to Dr. Bircea making me extremely uncomfortable AND failing to respond to repeated attempts to get medication refills BEFORE my insurance changed. The doctor is a very thorough and efficient provider, however when making small talk, I mentioned my partner was visiting family in Venezuela. This triggered Dr. Bircea to go on a politically-charged tirade about immigration and the US-Mexican border. It was a DEEPLY unprofessional way to behave with a patient and I was forced to tell him "Doctor, you are making me very uncomfortable." I continued receiving care through this provider for another year or so, but then I was unable to reach the office, after multiple attempts, more than a month before my insurance lapsed, and I was left without medication for a full year, until I found a provider in my new network. The effects of this provider's negligence cost me a great deal of stability for several years. My experience is unique to me, but I strongly advise anyone with family from certain countries not to seek care from this provider. His biases should be left at the door of his office, as should that of any medical professional.

Dr. Sorin Bircea is an exceptional psychiatrist who combines expertise with genuine care for his patients. He takes the time to listen, provide thoughtful guidance, and ensure the best possible treatment plan. His compassionate approach and dedication make a real difference. A special mention to Alina, who keeps everything running smoothly and is always helpful in making the process seamless. Highly recommend Dr. Bircea for anyone seeking top-quality psychiatric care.

I have been seeing Dr.Bircea for years now. From day 1 I knew I was in good hands. He gives great advice into how to live a healthy lifestyle for the mind and the body. He listens to any concerns I have. At the end of the session he gives me further resources to learn more about his recommendations. His secretary Alina is the best! She has always been so kind and caring too. It's not easy to find a provider that meets your needs. I am grateful to have found such a wonderful psychiatrist!

I have been a patient at this practice for over 3 years and even referred people to them, but after my most recent experience I can no longer recommend this office. I rarely write reviews, but I have never experienced such unprofessionalism in a medical setting that this needs to be publicly addressed as extreme malpractice. The assistant at this office not only mishandled my appointment but also blocked me when I advocated for myself. I was given a 1:30 PM appointment time, yet the doctor called at 1:20 PM—while I was at work and unable to step out early due to my new job. I politely asked the assistant if the doctor could call me back at my scheduled time, only to be told I was “inflexible” and that the doctor had already moved on and would not be calling me at all. This left me completely stranded without my necessary medication, leading to a panic attack, which I tried to communicate—only to be met with silence because the assistant had blocked me. Blocking a patient in distress, especially one reliant on prescribed medication, is not just unprofessional but also unethical. Patients deserve better than to be dismissed and shut out for simply expecting their appointments to be honored. If you are considering this practice, be aware that their disregard for patient care could put your health at risk.
