Sara Barbara Kramer, MD

I started seeing Dr. Kramer in 2009 and had extreme pain due to my gout in the left foot. I wasn’t able to walk for more than 1 mile without having horrible pain. Thank God I started seeing Dr. Kramer who was able to successfully solve my problem. Overall she is a great doctor and that is why she deserves 5 stars.

Went to her with swollen knee. Stiff neck and shoulder, swollen wrist in June. Did not order any blood work. Did not consider my family history of RA. She was dismissive. Thank goodness I have a great Rheumatologist now. He did all the necessary bloodwork and put me on medication. I finally can walk now. She is the worse doctor I’ve ever seen.

I’ve found Dr Kramer to be thorough, thoughtful and accessible. She’s routinely spend 1/2 hour or more each appointment, and follows up appointments w copious notes.I can recommend her without reservation.

Dr. Kramer was completely dismissive of me and my symptoms from the minute she walked into my room. She acted like I was inconveniencing her just by being there, disregarding the issues I was complaining about, writing off my pain, and talking down to me the entire time like I couldn't possibly understand anything about medicine. After practically begging for any kind of diagnostic work, she finally agreed to do a few blood tests, but then never followed up about the results. It was an utterly demeaning and dehumanizing experience, and one that did nothing to help resolve my chronic pain. Her office staff was lovely, but as a physician, it really seems like she makes up her mind about you from the moment she sees you, and will not move from that mindset at all no matter what you tell her.

I have read the negative reviews and keep wondering if there is some other Sara Kramer out there giving her a bad name. She was extremely polite, spent a long time with me and explained my condition clearly. She is the best.
