Dr. Chapman’s staff was wonderful. He came highly recommended and we were looking forward to hearing his expertise. Dr Chapman as a person is awful. He speaks down to the patients, he is condescending, and easily agitated with any questions. All of us have had doctors appointments throughout our lives, this Chapman by far, has been the worst experience of all medical visits. But, there is always another doctor to meet, and we already met a new one and love him. Dr Chapman even mocked my voice when I asked him a question. I am laughing as I type this, because I thought I was on Candid Camera. He is a vile human being. The absolute worst bed side manner and needs to retire. Sincerely yours, a happy patient since I left you.

I was in the hospital 5 days for a small bowel obstruction and was sent to Chapman. He thought that I was asking about bariatric surgery and assessed I was just chubby and not morbidly obese. I never inquired about this nor have interest. When I told him what I was actually there for, the bowel obstruction, he referred me to a colonoscopy and MRE, and I have never heard from him again. It’s been 2 months since the colonoscopy and 1 month since the MRE. The Colonoscopy Dr told me that the GI specialist would have to tell me how to eat because he found diverticula, which he said was not the cause of the obstruction but needed to be addressed. I called Chapman’s office a month after the colonoscopy to find out why no follow up and the doctor never responded and staff told me to eat normal. I think it’s dangerous that he’s practicing medicine. A surgeon named Dr Dong at Mt. Sinai recommended me to this doctor. I’ve had to go to the ER twice since the hospitalization 5 months ago and I have deep regret that I was sent to this office. I wish I would have read the previous review before going.

Dr. Mark Chapman saved my life. I would not be where I am today without him by my side. All other doctors expressed how nothing was wrong with me as I greatly suffered day after day and year after year. I have a rare global motility disorder, Gastro paresis, colonic inertia, pseudo obstruct, a esophageal Mechanical problem , delayed absorption, delayed emptying, small intestines works in reverse and large intestines I have genetic problem causing large intestines to be double in length and extremely dilated. I was sent to all the top research hospitals across the country and still Dr. Chapman was the only one with being a step ahead with having true results for diagnosis of each organ and managing the problem. I was a very difficult patient. I was a young girl scared of death. But he was by my aside and never gave up on me no matter how difficult I was. I have learned to manage my disorder and have not since been under the care of any other Gastro doctor . I wanted to thank him and staff in saving my quality of life. I graduated from NYU. I am a very successful business owner. I have well over a 1000 European designer gowns in my store for prom, mothers, evening, etc. I am the # 1 seller of designer gowns on Long Island and # 5 in New York State. I travel to purchase at fashion shows for my store and would not have my life today with out Dr. Chapman and staff.

My mother went there for a consultation…. Staff was not helpful…. rude and not welcoming. My mother is 87 years old mind you…..Mr. Chapman basically stated my mother needed a colonoscopy… did not explain nor offered another treatment for an “ailment”’ he was not 100% sure….Did not take his geriatric patient into consideration regarding risks…..RUN! …will be seeking a 2nd opinion @NYU
