Jenny Gerner, M.D

Dr. Gerner asked me how I was feeling during my annual checkup and billed me for "emotional assessment" so now I have to pay for what should have been a free visit. For the record, I replied "fine" and we moved onto other parts of the exam right away. It feels like this place is nickel-and-diming me.

I never leave reviews for doctors unless on Zocdoc, but I highly recommend to stay away from this place. The doctors have been very attentive and worked with me to get medication, but as others have stated the policies in place are only after your money. They try to charge you anything they can out of pocket even if your insurance covers it.

I am downgrading my review because of the billing department. They billed me for my annual wellness exam which my insurance provides at no copay. I was clear when setting the appointment that it was a wellness visit, and I had it in writing. They also billed me for another visit that was $0 and kept harassing me to pay when I owed nothing. And, they require a visit for every prescription refill. Those are supposed to be wellness visits at zero copay but they bill as a diagnostic visit and charge me. This practice only cares about taking as much money from you as they can even when it's illegal. They lost a lifetime patient because of it as I do like Dr. Gerner. She was thorough, addressed my concerns, and communicated well.

I'm someone who very rarely goes to the doctor and when I do it's usually not the most pleasant experience. Dr. Gerner has an excellent bedside manner and took her time asking questions and actually listening. I loved that she didn't attempt to push any unnecessary tests and just made me feel super comfortable. I would highly recommend her if you're looking for a great doctor who takes the time to speak with patients.

A nightmare!! Dr. Jenny has been kind and helpful. Unfortunately, her staff has caused me so much trouble. They have sent the wrong code to insurance so I was incorrectly billed for my annual physical, billed me for appointments that never even happened, simply forgot to send my blood work in for the tests the doctor ordered, and scheduled me for appointments on the incorrect dates. When I called the receptionist to resolve the bill for the appointment I did not receive, she yelled at me on the phone, told me I didn’t know what I was talking about, and that Dr. Gerner also did not know what she was talking about. It’s been 4 months and they are still billing me incorrectly. It is a nightmare. I truly have never left a negative review anywhere before but this has caused me so much trouble and they won’t help me resolve it - just trying to save some other people from this nightmare. Just please don’t make the same mistake I did.
