Dr. Fuchs' office refused a sign language interpreter for my appointment (which is illegal -- the Americans with Disabilities Act mandates that doctors' offices must provide ASL interpreters for Deaf/hard-of-hearing patients upon request). The person I spoke with at the front desk claimed she had never heard of deaf people, sign language, or interpreters. I explained very clearly several times, and I even offered to provide her with a list of interpreting agencies the office could contact. At one point, the staff member put me on hold to go speak with Dr. Fuchs, and I was hopeful the doctor would understand and would help. However, she came back and said that Dr. Fuchs refused to work with an ASL interpreter. So at this point, it goes beyond one unaware staff member and is also perpetuated by the doctor herself. Despite a lot of advocating, educating, and explaining on my end, the practice still ultimately refused to provide accommodations, saying, "We don't do this". Denying Deaf patients is not only discriminatory, but it's also illegal and opens the office to the possibility of lawsuits. If you are Deaf, disabled, or require any kind of accessibility accommodation, I would highly recommend not seeing this doctor.

Was going there for years but found another practice, since it was getting worst. They never call you back if you request, you wait between 1-2 h in the waiting room, and not getting any updates on when you ll be seen eventually, plus the most annoying, you need to come twice for your annual appointment so the doctor can read you the results that everything is in norm! I understand if she would have to share disappointing news to someone and discuss the plan, but if everything is in norm can they send you results via online portal like any other practice. I guess not because they want to scam insurance for 2 separate appointments/ issues! They don’t care if you live far away you still need to come. And if you call and ask something they don’t want to help or accommodate. No more!

Dr. Fuchs has been my doctor for 18 years!! She is the BEST!! She is very caring and explains everything. She spends her time with you and you never ever feel rushed. The wait can be long sometimes but it's worth it. The staff has been with her a long time and they all work well together.

I have been with this doctor for probably almost a decade. And every visit was worse than the last. Finally the most recent experience broke the camels back. Asked for a inhaler refill that she prescribed me via video appointment because I live in Queens. Told me to come in other wise can't help. Not too mention she literally started the phone conversation with "why are you abusing me?" Even before that she was always difficult about everything. Loved to talk and gossip more than do her job. Not too mention there's always an issue in getting through to the office as the work hours are never consistent. Or front desk just doesn't pick up putting you on hold indefinitely. Website doesn't work. Avoid like the plague.

I’m a semi long term patient who is extremely picky with doctors. She’s the first great doctor I found myself as a young adult after several horrible experiences. She is kind and intelligent. Truly listens to my issues and takes time with her patients. I recommend her to all my friends and family and they’ve enjoyed the switch.
