Iraj Akhavan, MD

I and my family have been patients of doctor Akhavan for over 15 years now and we are very glad that we came to know this great and wonderful doctor. Doctor Akhavan is one of the best. He is very professional, very well experienced and very kind. He takes the time to review everything very carefully and thoroughly and to respond to every single question and address any concerns the patient may have and provides excellent medical support and advice. All the staff in his officer are also really amazing and well organized. I would gladly recommend doctor Akhavan to my family and friends.

It is true that the wait can be long because the office policy is to see all walk-in patients. I prefer it this way since I don't want to have an urgent problem one day and then having to wait a month for the first available appointment with my physician. On the upside Dr. Arkhavan has tremendous experience and knowledge given his large patient base. I have been seeing him for 15 years and continue to do so. Also don't expect any affiliation or over-prescription from him. He's very parsimonious about prescribing extra medical expenses.

A 2 hour wait for a pre surgical physical is utterly ridiculous. I made an appointment nearly 2 weeks ago.The staff over books and when you ask them what the issues are they cant give you a straight answer. I would never recommend this office for anyone who doesn't have an entire day to spend at the doctor's office. I've been a patient for many years but will now be selecting an alternative. Dr Akhavans patients are all geriatric who have no where else to be. Forgot to mention the back and forth with the front desk when they couldn't seem to find the paperwork my orthopedic surgical coordinator had faxed over twice. Very disappointed.

Dr. Is on vacation. 72 hours and 3 phone calls later i have not heard back from the covering doctor. This is after emphasizing i have a semi emergency and need to talk to someone

Been going there for 10 years. Nice and diligent doctor.
