Dr Appel is hands down, the very best nephrologist ever and I owe my entire life to him. I spent 14 years trying to get in remission medication free for my autoimmune kidney condition. All of the drs I’ve seen, from Cleveland clinic Ohio to Louisiana, treated me with so many meds and told me I’d never be medication free and at one point all of the meds I was given stopped working for me. They told me they’ve exhausted all options and there’s nothing they can do to help me anymore. Which is crazy… I searched and searched and found Dr Appel and emailed him one day and told him my situation. He emailed me back the very next day and said no problem make an appt with my office. After being in the care of Dr Appel in just one year I was in remission with NO MEDICATIONS. 6 years later I’m still doing well! Still no meds, no relapse! I will forever be grateful to him. He is a very kind man who actually cares about his patient. Thank you for saving my life!
