I've been coming to this dentist for many years and have always had a great experience. Most recently I've been enjoying going because my new dental hygienist (Nicky) has made my experience super comfortable, relaxing, and overall enjoyable with laughs and stories we share along the way during my appointments. Because of that rapport, I feel comfortable asking questions about improving my hygiene, sharing other medical information that may influence my oral care routine recommendations that she provides, and being honest about what I do/don't do without fear of judgement. Due to all the above, dare I say, I look forward to going to my dentist appointments.

I’ve been a patient at Ditmars Family Dental for over a decade and they have remained consistent in providing high-quality dental care for myself and my family. I am fan of Dr. G, the hygienists, and all of the staff at this practice. Everyone is kind, respectful, and patient, just as it should be. They are clear in setting expectations and walking you through the entire process step-by-step. I value their service so much that when they stopped accepting my dental insurance, I continued going to them and chose to pay out-of-pocket. This speaks to how much I respect the work they do at Ditmars Family Dental. They are a gem in the community.

I’ve been going to DR G since I moved to Astoria in 1997. The hygienists he hires are friendly but most importantly gentle. I have sensitive teeth so they always numb my gums/teeth before a cleaning. I’ve referred three friends and they have been happy with their experiences.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Gatzonis. He gave me my life back! I was in so much pain from a cracked tooth. He gave me an appointment as quickly as he could and was able to save the tooth and get me out of pain. He is kind, gentle and super nice. I completely recommend him.
